Can't wait till we fire this arrogant egotistical self loving bellend off.

Always believed he's bigger than anything in the world let alone Manchester City Football Club. Yes he's had moments of brilliance but when he leaves he won't leave an imprint in my memory as a City great.

Ever since he first came in he only ever used to show up when he felt like it, and as the years have gone by those times he's bothered to turn up have got less and less. What I watched at Everton this Wednesday from him was honestly like watching someone crawling out of the pub after 15 pints and trying to play a game it was in my eyes one of the worst performances I have seen from an individual since our takeover.

Guardiola fucked him off once and he will fuck him off again to which I say good riddance, tried dragging our names through the mud with cake gate that should have been the end of him.

I know most of you will disagree with me but to be honest I don't care I'm sick of watching this absolute fool strolling around like he's got his flip flops on while walking along a beach. Us lot laugh at what Rooney is doing over the road to the scum? This arsehole is replicating that right here. Have a bit about yourself Manual and have the bollocks to drop him for good.

Definitely a rag, the clue is in the user name and the word bellend.
He is probably wiping up his come right now.

Did someone give Yaya a cake again.

Think he is going at the end of the season anyway, after the birthday spat, the public moan of Bony and now this. Pushing for his last big money move

He was the captain of the team that won it , but I take your point

So fucking what that they won it narrowly on penalties. Do you really think that justifies his comments in any way? Should Philip Lahm be upset about not winning the Ballon d'or in 2014?

Yaya had won APOY FOUR times on the run before this year and three of those occasions Cote D'Ivoire had not won AFCON despite having the best team. Was he complaining then? He should have had the good grace to accept that there are other African players who have performed just as well as he has has if not better this year. The comments he has made this time are absolutely disgraceful even more so than "cake gate." To say Africa has let him down is arrogant beyond belief. Particularly when you consider he has won this award four times before. It really shines a light on what sort of character he is. It is a poor reflection on us as a club that he can be our captain after the lack of respect he has shown us and his recent comments further illustrate his lack of humility and dignity. These are essential qualities to be a captain which Vincent has in spades.

We should have let Yaya go at the end of last season and gone all out for a world-class replacement. Alternatively, with a decent manager we could have adapted our style of play to be able to cope without him. The problem is that we have a second rate manager who always favours the big name players and has no faith in the rest therefore is incapable of motivating them to produce their best performances.

Yaya is perhaps symptomatic of our current problems rather than a root cause. A stronger manager could have handled him a lot better. For example why on earth did he play the full match the other night after having played all the previous matches over Christmas and new year? It seemed to me the obvious time for him to have a rest. Pellegrini felt that he had to play him as he has no belief in his own management of the rest of the squad to be able to achieve a result. Due to his lack of tactical nous he feels he has to play Yaya on the off chance he will produce one of his moments of brilliance to save us. Great player that he may have been for us from 2010- 2014, we really should not have to rely on him to the extent we are doing at the moment.

Going downhill faster than a fast thing with no brakes.

Has been a worldly for us but loves himself a bit too much and should have been turfed with the birthday cake shite.

Never produced since on any sort of dependable basis and getting worse, looks like he can hardly lift his feet to trot some games.

Just like the cycle of teams, Yaya is our history we must look to the future.

Don't agree with the paranoid few who deem this a wind up; it's a decent summary of what Toure's career here has been.

At times he's been absolutely incredible for us, and that's what makes his attitude even worse; imagine how good he would have been if he'd put 100% into every game?! He wouldn't have only been the best player this club has seen, but the best the league has seen and a genuine Ballon D'Dor contender annually.

Remember a few seasons back where he just decided at the age of 30 'I'm going to start taking free kicks now' and was sticking them in the top corner every few weeks? He's an absolute freak and will retire with a wealth of medals and as a multimillionaire, but having only utilised a fraction of his potential. We should be thankful for that, because if he wasn't such a lazy mercenary there's no way us circa 2010 would have had a chance of getting him.

He's been fundamental for us but he's a luxury player, of which we're currently carrying too many in the first 11. For the remainder of the season we either need to play him in the hole behind the striker with 2 runners behind him, or from the bench for destructive 20 minute cameos.

I've been a big fan of Yaya's football over the years but his AFPoY comments are very disappointing.
Yes he captained Ivory Coast to a win in AFCON but he was poor to average individually throughout that tournament.
At club level I dont think he has been nearly as bad as some critics would have you beleive, but he has not been fantastic either.
Aubamayang is certainly the rightful winner. He has had an outstanding 2015 calendar year and theres absolutely no doubt that he has better than Yaya this year, even taking AFCON into account.
Very poor of Yaya to throw the toys out of the pram and act like a spoilt child but I guess after 'cakegate' we all knew he was hardly a footballing statesman.

I've read some ridiculous hyperbole on these forums but this just about takes the cake.

Add me to the group who believe hes been an occasional great but hes also a bellend.Hes been pivotal in providing me with some very special memories for which ill always be grateful,however.........hes always acted like hes doing us a favour, his arrogance and sense of self importance are off the scale, and while i wouldnt go as far as to label him a mercernary......he certainly doesnt much care for the club imo.Him and his pal Nasri are very similar in attitude, both of which wont be missed by myself when they are shipped out this summer.Years down the line, when im reminiscing about these fantastic times,i definitely will not remember him with the same fondness i hold for the likes of Vince,Zaba,Silva,Hart and Aguero.
