So he isn't aloud to have a bad game? Oh he never runs back he hasn't since we bought him! We all know what he's like. Be interesting what Pep does with him.
That's not the point you made. You suggested that the team around him was responsible for him being unable to control a ball, unwilling to help his team and completely ineffective. You've done a bit of an about turn.

This "we all know what he's like" intrigues me as well. It's hardly surprising that he's bone idle if he's allowed to be by fans, players and the coaching staff.

That game at Everton was his one of his worst games and is unusual for him because he very rarely gives the ball away we know he don't track back and has that lazy look about him but he's always been like that. Anyway wonder what Pep will do with him.

I think he'll get rid. When the team was announced the other night, I thought Yaya could monster the game. We've been crying out for Pellers to put two holders in to do the dirty work and allow him to roam. What we saw instead was a player being carried by his team. They all had to work harder and cover for him and so we looked shaky. It was like the defence against Liverpool who seemed to be scared shitless of having Demichelis amongst them and so neglected their own jobs.

Sell him and pay top dollar for Dele alli and maybe another type player to give eachother a rest and rotate.

I think his comments about A boomerang winning the African POTY, are absolutely disgraceful.

The guy is obviously a complete arsehole.

Is he? Do you know everything about him? Is he an awful father? Is he not one of those African footballers that sends loads of money home? I really wouldn't know BTW; I'm not being facetious.

He is temperamental, IMO and he certainly runs his mouth off when he shouldn't. I also don't think he should have made these comments publicly but I do wonder if his motivation is less self-serving than his detractors would like? Again, I don't the answer and I don't much. What I do care about is whether or not he still has it within in him to drag his team mates to some trophies this season because I still don't think they will manage it without him. Perhaps he will be inspired to prove a point.

He can be a good father etc & still be an arsehole.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt last year, that his behaviour was due to his mental state, because of his brother etc, but this imo is appalling. These African lads really look up to Yaya, & for him to call it 'indecent' & 'a shame' that the lad has won it instead of him, imo it shows him up to be the kind of charcacter many have said he is. And I watched him in the AFCON & he was as bad there as he was on Wed night. Fucking terrible.

I also hope he has it in him to drag the team through. being an arsehole has no bearing on being a great footballer. Tevez was a proper arsehole & look at Ronaldo. many top players have been & are arseholes. Yaya has just confirmed imo, that he is in that list.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has launched a scathing attack on the Confederation of African Football following its decision to name Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the 2015 African Football of the Year.

Toure won the award four years in succession prior to seeing Borussia Dortmund striker Aubameyang break his streak, a decision he described to RFI’s Felix Sohounde Peperipe as a "shame to Africa," (h/tSport Witness):

I’m very, very disappointed. It’s sad to see Africa react this way, that they don't think African achievements are important.

I think this is what brings shame to Africa, because to act in that way is indecent. But what can we do about it? Us Africans, we don’t show that Africa is important in our eyes. We favour more what’s abroad than our own continent. That is pathetic.

I’ll give an example. Messi won all the trophies, but it’s Cristiano Ronaldo who won the award [Ballon d’Or 2014]. What would you say? It’s unfair! Even FIFA, with all its history of corruption, wouldn’t do [what CAF judges did].

The playmaker's fury is believed to be based on the fact he didn't win despite playing almost every minute of the Ivory Coast's triumphant 2015 Africa Cup of Nations campaign. That included all 120 minutes in the penalty-shootout victory over Ghana in the final.

Yaya will take care of Yaya and let Africa take care of itself. As I’ve been told many times, you can’t take care of Africa too much because Africa will be the first to let you down.

When I return to Europe, a lot of questions will be asked. I think I’m going to have to answer them. As I’m someone who’s honest, I will always tell the truth.

Perhaps Toure is correct to pinpoint a player's domestic achievements as critical to the voting process, but then one might question why the CAF has a separate Player of the Year award for those based in Africa.

Toure endured a fairly forgettable 2015 in Manchester while Aubameyang was in soaring form for Borussia Dortmund, but the 32-year-old clearly feels he did enough to take home the top prize.

Glad to see he still has that winning mentality hates losing does our Yaya, those quick to castigate him on here know fuck all about him and the point he is making, calling him disgraceful and an arsehole you need to look up what the word disgraceful means.

So not a "complete" arsehole then ;-)
