He was unplayable last night, so many times he easily rolled the ball past Krychowiak, one of his best European performances for us.

When he's in this form his contribution to our defending his immense. Not by tackling or winning the ball, but by keeping it, knitting our game together. Taking the heat out of the opposition. If he hadn't played yesterday we would have been put under much greater pressure, sustained pressure, by Sevilla.

When he's off form his passing game doesn't make up for his defensive weaknesses. Yesterday it did.
