Same when players pick up a few injuries. I'm convinced Kieran Dyer will play a full season soon.
Now that you say that about injuries, How good would Michael Johnson have been with City!Same when players pick up a few injuries. I'm convinced Kieran Dyer will play a full season soon.

You're post just shouted out Michael Johnson to me. I'm convinced he would have been better than Gerrard (same type of player) I know it's a big statement to make because Gerrard was a fantastic midfielder.
I know it's a different era, with football generally being played a different way now; more possession and "pass and move" rather than launching it to the big man up front and scrapping for the knock downs. But I'd love to have seen Johnson and moreso Lake, in a Pep team. It was a crying shame what happened to those two lads. Especially Paul, and the way his injury was handled by the club.I thought Lakey was better but it's a shame we never found out with either. Johnson was more self inflicted though in terms of career being short.
I think it's an English football specific thing, they never get given time until the critics pour in. Fans always looking for the shiny new toy. English teams are so rich they can all afford to blow 100M+ each window and write off expensive 'mistakes' where as teams on the continent will persevere with the players until they come good, as they can not afford replacements so have no choice.
(Big) New signings who were written off last year who are doing good this year.
