Players faking injuries.

Anyone faking a head injury should be sent off.The amount of times an attacking team is penalised because some one has gone down holding thier head is a joke.
Use Var to see where the contact was anyone holding thier head and they were not touched should be a red and 3 match ban. That would soon stop it although im sure Arsenal would find a way round it.

The problem with any 'punishment' for suspected faking, is that you're also rewarding foul play that causes genuine injury.

Take it in turns kicking the star player. Yeah, pick up a few yellow cards. But he'll be spending half the game off the pitch, serving numerous assessment protocols.
Suppose you could say if it’s for a booking or red they don’t have to go off. Unfortunately i think whatever is introduced teams will find a loophole to get around it though. It’s absolutely shit but nearly every team does it now unfortunately

Mandatory 5 minute concussion check on the touchline while play continues. Good practice for safety and will stop the cheating as an added bonus.

If its from a foul sinbin the guilty party for the same length of time.
Being told to leave the field for a minimum of 30 seconds, after receiving medical attention, was intended to dissuade players feigning injury. That shows good intent from officials, however, where injury was caused by foul play, the offending team is then gifted the advantage of 11 v 10 for the period the injured player is side-lined.
Problem is, when the foul is committed by the GK, or the injured player is told to delay returning to the game because the "sin-binned" player was their best defender or top strike.

The low pain threshold that players these days process is pathetic tbh.
Back when I started playing open age football in the mid nineties you would get kicked to fuck, dust yourself off, call him a dirty **** and get on with it.
Players are embarrassing these days.
Like when G Souness went home with a broken leg only for his wife to enquire whose is that

What happened to players injured didnt have to leave FoP after treatment if the opponent was booked

If play is stopped for a injured player but by the time the ref gets to them they have miraculously recovered they should have to go off for a minimum of one minute at the nearest point

When a player goes down with a head injury and play is no where near them the medical team should be allowed on and play to continue until play advances towards them say 15 yards or so, mandatory 5 mins off following recovery

Too many stoppages in games and some managers Arteta use them tactically

100% should be a booking, it's so fucking annoying and refs fall for it every single time

Richarlison did it at least twice in today's game. The second one he was rolling around the floor until he saw Lewis running at him with the ball then he jumped up and sprinted to get the he ball. If he got booked for the that no way would he acted the goat with Nico later in the game

At least 2 other spurs players did it as well

i would love for the day he is actually injured and the officials ignore him.

he's a cheating P*ick

I mean, the ref does his little 'Tele' sign and everyone in the ground knows he's reversing the original decision. Not really sure how it's 'fairer' if you get to read about it on a screen or not?
Because VAR don't have to bother coming up with an explanation so quickly during the match.

All they get to see is a decision overturned or upheld, we and presumably others get to read a warts and all explanation.

Just appears to be a bit convenient.
