I think this window will be important with regards to letting people go. Wages are undoubtedly a problem, despite our increased revenue from sponsorship, prize money etc.

I can see these people being let go in the summer.

Dedryck Boyata (May or may not make it. Shame really)

Has anybody heard any info/rumours/whispers regarding these chaps?

apparently espanyol wanna keep weiss but are struggling to find the £3m asking price....[ersonally i'd like to keep him and get rid of AJ *prepares for lashings!!!
Kolo only got one more year left on his contract so imagione we could buy him out if we wanted?

These 7 are more than likely to go.

Nielson - Out of contract at the moment not sure if he has been released though. Surely theres no chance of him getting it renewed?

Taylor - Same with Nielson although I can see him getting a new contract, good 3rd keeper.

Bridge - Will be difficult to sell and if he does leave it will be for nothing.

Santa cruz - Same as bridge although tbf he had a decent spell at betis if we find a buyer we'll get between 0-2 mill.

Adebayor - Very good player arguably better than dzeko but his relationship with mancini is broken, I think we will find a buyer possibly PSG or Malaga hopefully for 10 mill plus as these clubs have similer owners to us. Could possibly a deal wth spurs in exchange for modric or bale.

Savic - Really not a fan people go on about his age but other young defenders dont make the same mistakes he made we are more likely to loan him out but if an offer of 3 mill+ came in I would sell.

Kolo - Interesting one if he did stay I think it would be more to do with his brother, obviously he is not good enough to be starting but he is a decent backup if an offer came in though I would sell if it would not affect yayas position at the club.

Players who may go -

Kolarov - Not a fan myself but he is a good back up, clichy is so superior to him now I cant see kolarov starting many league games or CL matches, if hes prepared to stay back up keep him but if not there buyers out there especially in Italy.

Dzeko - Only if we could get van persie or falcoa to replace him, don't think cavanni would be much of an improvement on dzeko and as the rvp and facoa probably wont come dzeko would stay for me.

Others players like johnson, de jong and milner I would keep as there good squad players.

In terms of EDS and older youths I would send guidetti out on loan to a prem team and keep boyata and weiss as back ups to January at least and if they are unhappy with playing time I would send them out loan or sell. Others like nimely, michael johnson and ibrahim I would see how they do in pre season and if we find buyers they will be sold. Cunningham, scapuzzi, McGivern etc all these older EDS who would never have made it with even before the investment will be sold.

Why would we want to pay kolo off?
 
Weiss has Valencia, Espanyol, Cagliari, Galatasaray, Bursaspor, and Fenerbahce interested in him, so I'd expect a deal soon at £3million to £4million if Espanyol don't take up their first option clause due to their financial problems.

McGivern and Cunningham both had good seasons in the Championship and should have suitors if we're selling both permanently.

Nimely also had some good games for Coventry and if we want to sell him shouldn't have too many problems finding a buyer.

We'd be very lucky to get a buyer for Bridge due to his wages, we might have to loan him with subsidised wages for the last year of his contract.

Nielsen's contract is currently expired so either he gets a new deal or goes on a free.

Abdi Ibrahim had a terrible loan spell at NEC so I don't know what sort of interest there would be in him.

Betis would love to keep Santa Cruz and he's apparently willing to make financial sacrifices to make it happen but they are yet another Spanish club in debt.
 
Players i would keep :

Weiss : seems to be another Silva / Giovinco kind of player . He has the ability to be an "atom ant" in the Midfield . He is fast and really creative . I would say we keep him BUT loan him ONLY to spanish clubs where he can get the "spanish experience" silva / yaya picked up while they played at Spain.

Boyata : I would rather keep him and sell savic , He has body weight , strength , aerial advantage and speed , Savic doesn't possess any of these qualities. Home grown also .

AJ: On his day he's a workaholic but that happens very rarely . He is promising though .

Players i would sell:


Savic : I don't have to say anything here , Boyata can replace him.

Kolo: Give him to PSG for say 15Mil or higher , Offer some cash plus tevez or Dzeko for Thiago Silva .

Nigel dejong: Its about time we get a more dynamic DMF someone like KPB , Javi Martinez or Sahin.

Kolarov: I don't see why we need 3 people playing this position (clichy , kolarov and zabs ..yes that's zabs original position)

Dzeko: ONLY if tevez PROMISES and SIGNS a contract that he would no longer start any drama then and only then would i say bye to Dzeko , he's a nice player but hasn't lived up to expectation .
