Players Walking Off The Pitch At The Nearest Point

Aren’t the refs supposed to add 30 seconds on for each substitution? It’s simple then, as soon as the board goes up for a sub, start the stop watch. If the player going off isn’t off the pitch within 30 seconds, book both him and he player coming on.
Bit harsh on the player coming on surely? He's not allowed to enter the field of play until the other one's off.

All started to stop doing it when Kun didn’t do it against Spurs

Someone was booked in the first week of the season. Then since Kun did it, it’s been ignored.

Put it this way, if that happened he might have a word with his team mate next day. It is yet another sensible suggestion, unfortunately those making them have only ever watched or played a game unlike those that run it who have done neither.

This is why nobody has any respect for the rules - clamp down for a week then forget it. (holding at corners - Stoke v City nowhere else, handball City v Spurs nowhere else, subs leaving the pitch - give up after one game)

Just watched Bolly get sent off for Wolves at Everton.

He walked along the touch line accompanied with a Steward, behind the goal, and past the Gwladys Street end, full of Everton, and he was constantly verbally abused.

Regardless, that isn’t right. A player shouldn’t be subjected to that level of constant abuse.

The nearest point should be ‘across the pitch’ where the players tunnel is located.

Ffs get a life... If I was on the money these guys are on I would do a lap of honour skipping ...

Dont worry. The Merseyside police will exam video footage and fans recognised for any offence will be dealt with accordingly.

It is yet another stupid rule brought in by idiots. It is meant to stop time wasting. The simple answer was to instruct the clowns who are meant to be running the game to book anyone they believe is time wasting. We will have a serious incident in a game where a player in a similar situation is assaulted. It reminds me of that song ......…. Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right, stuck in the middle without a clue.

Completely ignored the Wolves player who walked about 60 yards across the pitch to the halfway line when the nearest touchline was a mere ten yards.. It's a measure of how clued in Pawson is to the LotG.

The whole reason they brought in the "go to the bench immediately" rule in the first place was because Cantona attacked a fan while walking around the pitch after being made to leave at the nearest point.

took their time then...
