I don't think just because the article is in The Sun you can dismiss it out of hand.
I think a lot of people are in denial at the moment. They want to believe that everything is rosy in the garden and they really desperately want to believe that every bit of negative press is pure fabrication because the world at large has an agenda against our club.
Unfortunately, all indications to me are that we have a squad of players who are not 'together'. We have players falling out with each other, others out on the lash, we have huge disparities in wages and only once or twice this season, have we seen that team actaully play as a team.
Make of that what you will and blame who you want but it's the managers responsibility to get it all together. His post match interview on Saturday suggested that he was totally at a loss to know what to do next.
From all the evidence I can see, I can fully believe that relations between the manager and many of our players are severely strained. There is plenty of evidence from people I know who are close to the club that many players just do not understand where he is coming from, what his tactical plans are supposed to be, and more importantly, they cannot warm to his man management skills.
Whether this is the fault of Mancini or simply a work-shy set of players, I don't know, but there clearly is a rift and something has to be done sooner or later or this club is going to implode.
