Kalidou Koulibaly was fantastic against the dippers the other night, he’d be great and he can play anywhere across the back line and also DM.

He is now as he plays regularly for a team that is out to make money on players , in a league that is defensive and slow, It would not surprise me a bit if Napoli come in for Mangala at the end of the season, as will a lot of Italian clubs

Wilfred Zaha.

I vouched for him over Mahrez. Not giving up on Mahrez, I just don't like the guy and I can't really pinpoint any specific reasons. I think it's the way he carries himself. It makes him appear soft to me much like Gundogan. I'm not looking for a squad full of goons or destroyers but there is an edge to having grit. Dave harnesses it extremely well, gabby too.

13 in 8 now, he's still going. I've seen nothing other than youtube of his goals but he looks to be an incredible finisher.

I do not think it is completely out of the equation Zaha is great player who plays more centrally and is better defensively than our wingers,but i think his main failing for Pep will be his poor teamwork, something he has never needed being better than any player he has played with

He just joined in the summer from Villarreal. Would definitely take convincing from Pep.

We were linked with him at one point and I think we might have gone for Rodri when Jorginho went south if he was still available but Atletico signed him up in May for a stupidly small fee.

That Rodri-Saúl-Koke midfield is probably one of the 3 best in the world, alongside ours and Real's.

yep watched him for years even before we bought mangala they are both big fast and powerful with a poor first touch, in some leagues such as the ultra defensive Italian that is exceptable

I back Mahrez now that he is with us but I always felt and still feel Zaha was a better fit.

I love Delph but I feel he and Mendy are too tactically different to provide the competition that some players need to improve. It seems to be more a case of needing a more attacking or more defensive player in specific games than looking at form/performances/rotation. Maybe thats what Pep wants, but I definitely agree that a more natural left back might be just what Mendy needs to find some focus.

As for Phillip Max I think he is quality, and if he is capable of putting up the kind of key passes and assist numbers he currently is at a club like Augsburg I feel like he could do even more in a team like ours. Only reservation is he sometimes likes a very hard challenge and that would almost certainly see him punished in a blue shirt.
