Give Brighton a blank cheque and a pen for Carlos Baleba.
I would because he wouldn't get in the team . Absolute no composute at all, just your standard kick your ankles full back that's never played at the top because he's not good enoughHe's far from wank.
Just because a player stays with one club and is happy to do so doesn't make them wank.
Maybe he was happily settled at Everton and didn't want a move.
I wouldn't mind a prime Seamus Coleman playing for us now.
We need players with a history of production. I don't watch as much football as I did 10 years ago. Frankly I've become a City rather than a football fan. Which is a bit sad. But YouTube helps and more importantly, stat sites help even more.Baena from Villareal is a no brainer 50m RC.
Like lots of those playersHeres my rebuild
1) Id sign that guy from Villareal, Alex Baena.
Dude has elite goal creation numbers from LW.
Baena, Doku LW
Bobb, Savio RW
That looks really good to me. The academy also recently is producing some top talent (once again), no reason we cant have some 3rd choice wingers from there.
2) Grealish, Nunes, O Reilly, and Lewis to be molded and play more as the #8 while Gundogan, Kovacic and Bernie leave.
Thats still 4 players for 1 spot, but all 4 could also play elsewhere in a pinch. Even still could probably sell one of them easily.
Also Divine Mukasa from the academy looks a future star, as Grealishs contract runs down id integrate him as an 8/10.
3) Buy Jonathan David to rotate for Haaland and Foden. Can play with a striker or as the striker, and his price looks cheap.
4) Buy a very defensive CDM to rotate with Rodri (Gvardiol inverts from LB), and you can play both (if we have to) by having
1) Rodri partner the CDM as normal, but having a fullback push up (new player).
2) Rodri starts as a CB and pushes into midfield.
This player, id go for Ederson or Baleba, both have shown really good defensive instincts and can easily play with Rodri as well.
Id also use Jacob Wright as a 3rd choice CDM and 3rd choice RB (inverted).
4) Then to finish the rebuild, we would need atleast 3 defenders for now after selling Walker, and moving Lewis to as a backup 8.
Robinson (attacking LB) to play if Rodri partners the CDM, otherwise Gvardiol LB by default to invert.
Or Livramento is my alternative to Robinson as an attacking RB.
I dont care which, both are class, we only need one of them.
Juma Bah AND Ousmane Diomande as a RCB and RB respectively. Honestly this could be most talented defenders, as long as they are fit.
Calum Doyle brought back to be an understudy to Ake (who will need a replacement at some point).
Gvardiol, Robinson LB
Ake, Doyle LCB
Dias, Bah RCB
Akanji, Diomande RB (always becomes part of back 3).
Stones... if we can sell him sure do it, I simply dont think we can, so keep him and make him a back up.
That would be my start to the rebuild, buy 6 players and the 7th is a loanee.
Last 2 things, id use the buyback on Delap (more options up front) and Harwood Bellis (if we sell Stones or even if not who cares, hes a good backup).
Those 9 in total would complete the rebuild.
Well just have to agree to disagreeI would because he wouldn't get in the team . Absolute no composute at all, just your standard kick your ankles full back that's never played at the top because he's not good enough
I would not even look at Ricci. Zubimendi for me lacks mobility. I want someone with legs and that can play as an 8 and 6. Reijnders is the one for me. Barella clearly does not want to leave Milan. We need players with a history of production. I don't watch as much football as I did 10 years ago. Frankly I've become a City rather than a football fan. To that effect, the following are players we should consider... Very seriously
Marton Zubimendi - on YouTube he looks a bit underwhelming. A smaller less expensive Rodri with a bit more aggression. But he is not quite as tidy in his control and ball placement. Also like Todri he is not particularly fast so we have to hope that brain game is close to Rodri's. Small samples suggests yes. Production wise, he and Graveback at Liverpool are 2 of the best CM/DM not around. And he is the best of those not on a top team yet. Extremely well rounded. I will definitely consider him now! A must if possible.
Honorable mention: Ricci
Obviously Musiala and Wirtz would be first pick, but considering our current stances, Baena's numbers are absolutely phenomenal and would be a lot cheaper.Alex Baena: This is Kevin Debruyne. He is more of a chance creator and chain mover than any of the others. Doesn't mean he is better than them. Just that he creates more. He sees things early and he needs to be on a top team ASAP. And we need a player like this... I'm not waiting for Wirtz or Musiala. Id rather the more productive guy who is easier to get. Honorable mention: Cole Palmer. ( But that's a touchy subject.)
I would pick Marmoush over Rodrygo. Just my personal preference. Marmoush can also play as a 7, 11, 9 and 10 very effectively. I am not sure how strong he is as an 8, but he is better than the 8's we have.Productive Winger: My long-term wish has been Rodrygo, but going by the state Omar Marmoush is a far better option. Dribbles, creates, and scores at an incredible rate. My only downside is that I don't know his top speed. But he seems faster than Salah who is fast enough and definitely faster than Rodrygo. Obviously, Rodrygo is the honourable mention.. I give him the big club discount. As generally I ignore players on big clubs already. But if we can get them they are more likely to adapt quicker. As they are used to playing against weaker teams.
Reijinder looks better to my eye, but Zubi seems superior in possession and defensively. Id take either.I would not even look at Ricci. Zubimendi for me lacks mobility.
