Sometimes players just don't fit and that's okay, it doesn't make them any less of a player. Look at Falcao for instance, he was insane in France and Spain but didn't fit Chelsea and frankly utd were shit when he was in Manchester.
 
A player who needs to be watched, Aaron Hickey, Hearts. 17 yr old, who may well end up playing further forward. Good first touch, vision and fair decision making. A good weaker side also.

Of course much to improve on , doubt if he will be at Hearts a long time.
 
Raul Jimenez who scored the second and set up the goal today would be a brilliant option for us. 28 but seems to be a late bloomer, very good link up and a sharp football brain, team-oriented and his finishing seems to get better and better, which his trajectory in the goals department supports. Also good in the air, which would give us another dimension by default.

Problem is this type of transfer 10 years ago would be shrewd business for 10-15 million, and we would get ourselves a leage proven, squad player raring to go.
In this market Wolves would probably demand 50 millions for him, and rightly so.
 
I’d take a punt on Giroud. He doesn’t seem to play much for Chelsea and would offer us something totally different in attack.

Having someone who can win headers in the box might just encourage Mendy, Angelino and Cancelo to cross the ball.
 
I'd go all in on Timo Werner. Supposedly he is available for around 30m due to a release clause but double or even triple that would be amazing business aswell. With Bayern sniffing he might prefer to stay in Germany but we should at least make an attempt. He has 23 goals already this season in 24 appearances and has helped his team to the top of the Bundesliga.

I've seen some comments that he wouldn't be so good here because he is playing in a more counter oriented team but I don't buy that tbh. Even if that were the case, guy would join on a 5 year contract and I don't think Pep will want to stay here that long. This guy would be a frightening player playing both through the middle or as a wide forward, in a similar role that Salah and Mane play for Liverpool.
 
Timo werner, zaha, koulibaly & a left back (no friggin clue who tho) dream would be alaba but not much chance.
Nico, sane, mendy/angelino, D. Silva & bravo.
 
Arsenal again being linked with Dayot Upamecano. Not sure why we haven't been linked with him to be honest - quick, strong, good on the ball, tall enough at 6ft1 and only 21 years old. Importantly, he's also right footed and predominantly plays on the right, so he would be perfect to pair with Laporte.

Arguably 1st place Leipzig's most important player (certainly defensively) and apparently has a buy out clause that kicks in in the summer, which would mean a straight forward deal.

I think his pace and physicality alone is something that we've been missing massively and would be a huge benefit to our backline.

I think we are probably keeping an eye on him mate, fits the profile of our signings over recent years

Started the season badly and picked up an injury, the last few weeks he has been superb, for the life of me i have never seen him play on the right?, if he can replicate his form on the left to the right then he would be the best fit for us better than all others, if not then he would end up back up to Laporte, and as such would reject us
 
Suprised there’s not a Tammy Abraham thread , still very young links the play up well and has a good goal scoring record. I think he would give us a different option .

Yeah, he could play LW or in a 2, so wouldn’t harm Jesus’ development. It’d also help defensively as teams would be wary of the counter, which they just aren’t at the minute.

Plus, even if he had a shocker, we could still profit if we cashed in after a season. Give Leipzig £100mil for him and Upamecano, piss Bayern off, and loan players to them which will pay for itself (I.e Braaf).
