Players who might improve us

ACL rarely allows players to recapture their peak. Think only Xavi, Van Nistelroy and Robben looked as good post op
That isn't necessarily true. The following was taken from a physical therapy partnerships website on recovering from ACL surgery.

"The rehab you do after an ACL tear sets the stage for the level of play you are able to return to. Poor rehab (or poor effort / attendance during rehab) = a slower, weaker, less athletic, more injury-prone you when you go back to your sport."

Shearer, Ibrahimović, Baggio, del Piero, Pires, Totti, Falcao, Rooney…

Imagine thinking only 3 players have fully recovered from ACL injuries.

Do those 3 players make the whole attacking squad?, Aguero, Torres, Sterling and Jesus have left, we have the smallest squad depth in the league and one of the slowest up front.,
Agüero was no longer even quick by the time he left. Torres wasn’t quick but replaced Sané. Sterling and Jesus have left and now we have Haaland and Álvarez. They average out at a similar pace.

Haaland, Álvarez, Mahrez, Foden, Grealish, Palmer

6 forwards. Fastest striker in the league.

But we’re short in attack and not fast enough….

Rooney didn’t do ACL did he? Falcao was never the same. I’ll give you shearer. Not sure Baggio was or Totti. And Ibra did his very late in his career when already past his best anyway.
