Wasn't the guy that was CEO for a while Colin Barlow an ex player for both clubs?

Yes. I saw him play for both City & Oldham.
Also Ken Branagan & Bert Lister (both in same Oldham team as Bobby Johnstone).
Plus..............Les McDowell managed both clubs.

PS - I also meant to add that Jimmy Frizzell of course also managed both us and Oldham.

According to my record book Bert Lister made 2 appearances (no goals) between 1954 & 1960. Shown under H.F. Lister.
I remember him as mainly a reserve player and I wasn't sure that he had played for the 1st team until I checked.

Just remembered another ( and an obvious one for us older fans) ...........

I'll throw in one. We had a striker in the reserves in the sixties called Chris Jones, who couldn't displace Franny Lee and Neil Young but made the odd appearance. I've just looked him up online and he did later have a couple of matches on loan at Latics.
I think there are one or two more like this, who didn't make the grade with us. They're difficult to call to mind, though. :)
