Its a start :)
The problem we have with flares is the fact that they are predominantly red - hardly relevant is it?
As they are primarily for boats in distress at sea - a blue flare is pretty useless at attracting attention against a blue sea and a blue sky.
Blue smoke bombs aer an options but every one within a 20 metre radius will end us looking like Papa Smurf so they're not idea either.
How about going "old school" and getting as many as possible to wear blue and white - I know the cool kids in their designer jumpers won't be happy, but 45 thousand jumping around in blue would look amazing.

I like the flare idea but if you ask the club they'll just say no or failing that they'll employ a fireman to hold one in a fire proof glass box with a 20 metre exclusion zone and a small reservoir to hand in case of accidents. We'll look like the kids you see on bonfire night with over protective parents who allow there kids to hold a sparkler but not write their name in case they get burnt.

True, but i tbh wouldnt mind waving red flares around. Lech play in blue and they dont look stupid with 20 odd red flares when they do it. i just think it would be an amazing and totally new experiance for nearly everybody.

I understand that not many people will want red flares all over the singing section and SS but at least we could try it at one of the away ties. I'd Love it
