Manchester City Council currently has absolutely nothing in place to mark the origins of Manchester City FC, either it’s birth as St Marks FC on Clowes St, West Gorton or Its first home ground on Hyde Road.
As the only Professional Football Club To spend its entire existence based & playing Home matches inside the Manchester City boundaries, this needs to be corrected.
After all, the council saw fit to erect a plaque on Bank Street, the former ground of a team that hasn’t played a Home game in the City since 1910?!?

Signed. They’re probably worried about United fans vandalising it but that’s not a good enough reason to not celebrate the history of Manchester’s only football club. Also signed the petition to move the gypsy community away from the car-parks of Chesterfield.
