Yeah I figured that... it's just that, I don't get what Abramovich has to do with Andy Carroll so I was a bit lost

This, Fenway/NESV came to the club after saying they don't talk they act, imagine the fallout if Torres would have left for 50 mil without anyone coming in, scousers would think they just kicked out one set of shit owners for another.
It was a bad move in my opinion, one made only to placate the fans and it'll bite em in the ass. Liverpool fans are so stuck up on their past that they refuse to write off one season they're trying to cling on until the knuckles get bone white. Its why they kicked woy out and its why they're signing Carrol and Suarez too players with shit reputations, notice that no one is making a hissy fit about Carrol, when Balo signed the reaction was nothing sort of disgusting from the media pundits they made Balo look like some sort of hardened criminal.

Ha ha - sorry Jackson mate - the terrible spelling was the OP's, not yours. I think she had been drinking as the thread title is funny too and she obv. mixed up Abramovich and Liverpool.

I have a mate telling me that NESV funded the carroll and suarez moves out of pocket... what?! the way i see it daglish was given 10 mil. he made 6 mill off babbel and tried to use that to buy suarez. when that was rejected, they realized that they'd either have to wait the whole season and get even worse or cash in on torres now and get carroll, a move I think they were planning for the summer anyway. The most ironic part is that the only reason this could happen in January was because a club with a great history and a divine right to success wasn't in the champs league so chelsea can use him there now

Don't think Torres can play Champions league because he played Europa for Liverpool
