Using my phone so I cant post a link, its on the Daily Mail and their source is from Germany. Apparently a 16.5m offer is on the table for Lukas Podolski, if he could continue his German scoring form (30+ goals) for us, he could be an awesome signing, as well as a 2nd striker/attacking mid.

Thoughts?

For some reason he is a different player when he plays for Germany, But at club level its not happening for him. There was a lot of hype surrounding him the last few seasons but nobody was willing to take a gamble on him, 3 goals all season for Cologne says it all.

This ... He is Not a club player, I hope we don't get him :S

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Hugely overratted

I've kinda always thought he was a good player, he's quick, poweful, strong and has a mean left foot on him.

Manchester City open bidding at £15m for Germany World Cup 2010 star Lukas Podolski - report
9 Jul 2010 16:09:00

Manchester City have slapped in a £15 million bid for Germany World Cup 2010 star Lukas Podolski, according to Morgenpost.

Podolski, 25, has impressed in South Africa after enduring several years to forget in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich and Koeln. Despite the set backs in his domestic career, the left-sided attacker continued to excel for the national team and his two goals helped the push to the semi-final stage.

Blues manager Roberto Mancini is keen to bolster his options for next season's assault on the top four and Podolski's versatility has appealed to him. The player is understood to be happy to stay at home town side Koeln but the big-money offer could be hard to for the club to turn down after he scored just two top flight goals last term.

He reminds me of Bellamy but without the pace, works hard, versatile, good finisher, tends to choose the right option most of the time. Unfortunately his lack of pace is what makes him not quite good enough.

Never going to come to us or anyone else in the prem.He was linked to us a couple of years back when he was with bayern but he was homesick for his home town cologne so he went back there.
