Could sign fabiniho as a cover right back and play him defensive midfield hes tall good in the air is very quick and is also a solid tackler and had a decent game against arsenal in that position last year.

I hate going off the back of one performance, but having never heard of him before I have to say that Reece Oxford lad of West Ham impressed me and looked solid yesterday. Not ready to step up to City yet, but would be worthwhile keeping tabs on him for the future.

I'm getting the distinct impression we don't have any "Pogba alternatives". It seems it's Pogba or we go with what we've got for this season. I find that a little disappointing, if I'm being honest, but there's been nothing even slightly linking us to a central midfielder who could do a similar job to Pogba.
Yup. Get him if possible, if not wait! I love that policy. While personally I believe Granit Xhaka would be a better fit for our midfield than Pogba, I'm okay with us waiting and watching him turn into something before taking the dip. Just hope Bayern doesn't move for him before us.

Sissoko has looked good for ages.. very quick for a big guy too. Would be cheap too
He didn't look out of place. But let's not confuse that for being solid. He was a 16 yearold playing against superstar pros and didn't look bad, but he wasn't great. He seemed unsure of himself, which is normal, and kept it extremely simple. His positioning was often below average, and he put together a good Mikel sideway passing rendition. Took little risk or forced the issue, and except for 2 occasions was not around the tackling action.
I applaud the coach for playing him, its obvious hr must have some serious talent but he is not ready for weekly prem production.
