Pogba or De Bruyne? (Historical)

This thread is a prime example of why I put so much of my faith in the club and Txiki to make the right decisions.

They actually do know better than us.
You might want to bookmark this cracker as well, mate. Give it a year, or 2, Cheeky Txiki could be doing chokey! ;)
Do what I do and be extremely vague and non-commital. Works a treat for historical posts!
Learnt my lesson going balls deep for Mido!

At the time, Old Toilet was the "Theatre of Nightmares" where talent went to die. City wanted Pogba before he returned to the swamp, but just like Sanchez, Fred, Maguire, Ronaldo & others, they massively outbid us on fees & wages to get one over City.

Those players can't be that shit if we wanted them, but the manager & environment makes a huge difference. Putting it simply, would Pogba have been a massive flop at City & would KDB have been a great success at ManUre?

I reckon Juvé's Pogba would have thrived at The Etihad, & KDB would've found Old Toilet to be a Chelsea 2.0 experience for him.

Looking at both players as an A>B comparison, Pogba was setting Italy, Europe & the French national team alight whilst playing for serial winners Juvé, whilst KDB had had one stellar season with Wolfsburg, after being labelled a Chelsea flop.

KDB at £55m was the far bigger risk imo, but what a risk he proved to be worth taking hey? \0/
