Mac Allister's been good.

Argentina manager not scared to throw an in-form Brighton player into the starting line-up. Shame the Belgium manager can't do the same.
I don’t fully rate him but he’s not stubborn. When he should have players like Enzo and Parades in the team, he at least put Enzo in as he brings a lot, as well as Julian.

Imagine having one of the world’s best number 9s and totally isolating him, making him useless.

This Poland coach needs the sack.
So so negative and boring
And yet the Poland teams of the 70s and 80s were amazing, really progressive and full of danger and attacking intent
Deyna, Lato, Boniek, such amazing players

I was going to have a cheap dig at Poland (possibly) going through on their fair play status. But didn’t we qualify for the UEFA Cup through the fair play league, back in the days of B&W telly?
Yes. It was a major factor in why we got hammered by Boro in that last match of the season -- every player was trying to avoid getting booked.

Controversial comment - Messi at 35 is better than Silva was in his prime.

Nowhere near mate.

Firstly, Silva's peak was in the Premier League, with little protection and opponents who extended beyond Real Madrid twice a year.

Silva is the greatest import this country has seen and that's from Thierry Henry.

Alvarez should have buried his chance for his second but that effort from Martinez is 10 times worse

I was literally going to write this same thing when your post popped up.

I haven't been impressed with him at all.
I think the issue is Lautaro is the sort of forward that drops deep. Also plays well off a target man which Argentina don’t have.
