Poland versus England

Montenegro games are going to be crucial for England. Don't get good results there and you could find yourselves in trouble in this group.

Not sure if Ukraine having such a bad campaign is good or bad thing. It's good cause they were expected to fight for top places here and are failing to do it but bad as other teams look like getting points from them while they took 2 from you.

I see Woy was trotting out all the usual excuses as to why a draw was a good result.
In the context of the qualifying campaign surely it is a good result? An away point, despite a fairly indifferent performance, in a match where preparations were disrupted by a postponement - could turn out to be a pretty valuable point in the end.

Now if he was "trotting out the usual excuses" whilst trying to make out it was a good performance.........
I'm not sure a point is good. Look at the table. Montenegro could finish above England.

1 England 4 2 2 0 10 8
2 Montenegro 3 2 1 0 7 7
3 Poland 3 1 2 0 2 5
4 Moldova 4 1 1 2 -5 4
5 Ukraine 3 0 2 1 -1 2
6 San Marino 3 0 0 3 -13 0
True but Montenegro still have to face England twice plus play Poland away. As long as England don't have any more slip ups at home (like the draw with Ukraine) they shouldn't have any problems qualifying. I still think a point in Warsaw is a decent result.

Its the draw at home to Ukraine that's the real bummer, considering how bad Ukraine have been this year. A point away is ok, as long as you win your win home games.

the standard of the national team is getting worse and worse, people generally think cleverly, AOC and welbeck are of the standard required by a top international team.

carrick was embarrassingly bad, not just his passing accuracy but also his slow, lumbering attitude. and I'm sick of hearing all this 'he's one of englands best passers' nonsense. complete bollocks.

and is alex oxlaide chamberlain the most overrated player in england at the moment? no where near the standard or quality required.

I`m just starting to watch that game.
But read some press coverage from both sides already and I`m a little bit suprised by your negativity bluemooners.
We are not San Marino ffs :) and we are able to give a good game to many many teams and point away in WC qualifier is good piont. May be even crucial at the end of campaign.

It's not so much the point as the performance. England looked like a second rate team today and were fortunate to come away with a draw.

Cleaverly is the most overrated player by far... alex has played well and at least tried to do something positive (even thought he losses the ball sometimes) that **** cleaverly cant even pass..

england are the spurs of the premership and thats on a good day,we are a quarter final team who might ride there luck into the semis
If England get anywhere near the semis I'll eat my hat!

We was a penalty shoot out away from the Semi's in our last major tournament

An optimistic way of looking at things.
