Police and Stewards at Sunderland FFS.

The Mackems are generally ok, especially before the game. Tend to be a lot more friendly and chatty compared to other fans in the league, just how it is in the North East. Geordies are the same.

After the game can be a different matter. Last season, wore colours walking back over Wearmouth Bridge and got a bit of shit, was spat at but missed.

I think you need to factor in the fact that we scored an equaliser in the 91st minute, but what I saw yesterday coming out and what I have seen on and off for decades at Sunderland, does not put them into the 'butter wouldn't melt' catagory.

I was talking about the people more than the football fan, as I lived up there for 3 years.

I was in that tent from 1pm till we got a police escort about 3.30pm,
fair play to Panda that sunderland fan he was a good laugh.
Get off your high horse.

I saw no trouble yesterday
Was in Wetherspoons full of sunderland fans and there must of been about 50 city fans in there all talking to them
Walking to the ground had my city hat on and a few of their lads were talking to me about city and Quinn, never felt threatened. Good lads

BTW was talking to a fellow bluemooner in Wetherspoons but his name escapes me!!!

where was this tent thingy? I assume it was a beer tent !!
It is the pub right opposite the ground, where the Black Cats office block is behind the stand opp where the players come out. It is only a small pub but they have a tent at the rear and set it up with barrels and let the away lads take it over, but to be honest we mixed with all the home fans and the police just kept a eye on everything but it was well good and you were ok for going back in after the game so well done to the Sunderland crowd etc.
The Colliery Tavern. Used to be the drinking establishment for the miners at Wearmouth pit where the ground stands. Only the Mags and Burra are prohibited from drinking in our pubs. Search Blue Coats on the SMB and you'll find out how much they are hated.

HAD A GOOD DAY OUT AGAIN,JUST A MISERABLE PLACE THE NORTH EAST AND ALWAYS TAKES TWICE AS LONG TO GET HOME

Did not see anything yesterday, was on row 11 behind the goal, Coppers and stewards took photos of me with my lad when I asked them to, both were Newcastle fans. There was no trouble with them. City fans were not even asked to sit down near me, we stood for 90 minutes.
