quite a few places in those days we were grateful there was an escort...
the one from lime street station to badison seemed like a boot camp march

soon realized the way to avoid both trouble and the escort was to turn up dead early and get pissed.never looked back once the penny had dropped.

I remember going to West Brom (about 87?) when Adcock scored in a 1-1 draw, when they nicked so many people in the ground, the away end was half empty by the finish. Singing, pointing, gesticulating, unless you were stood stock still in total silence, you were fair game. West Midlands were always the worst, with South Yorkshire not far behind

March 1st 1975 is etched on my memory.......cops did nothing on way back to the station,Leeds fans picking off Blues,my Dad did the bravest thing I have ever seen in my life that day defending me,I was only 14.
