I bet those Polish Fans are going to make some noise. It'll just be so strange to hear it coming from the East Stand Level 3 for once.

Oi! I sit in 305 and make loads of noise chomping on my hot dog and scratching my balls......dont tar us all in there with the same brush.

Apologies if this same question has been posted and answered elsewhere but why have the club sold extra tickets over the actual 3,000 allocated?
Because it will be nowhere near a sell out. The Lech Poznan fans would have simply bought thousands of tickets in our end, which could potentially have been an issue. So the club decided to give them more tickets in the 3rd tier in the interest of safety.
I'm sorry but that wasn't the case . British based polish fans had bought tickets by buying a £20 City Card online which gave them 50 points straight away , the 50 points were more than enough to buy a ticket , it wasn't noticed by the ticket office until they had sold around 3K tickets for different parts of the ground , they have now clamped down on this and have raised the points for this game to 60 points . There was never any intention to sell EXTRA tickets to polish fans because it wouldn't sell out it was just another ticket office cock up .

Yeah , and i don't know why they appeared suprised by the demand .....

half of Poland is now employed here!

The cops , and City fans , need to be 'at the races' for this one .......

it's a potential recipe for disaster!

If that is the case let me work this one out:

2000 sold in poland through the club as per their site.

3000 possibly sold here dotted around the ground

Police have reported 3000 sold for the EL3 area already by the club.

Poss 8000 Polish in the ground tomorrow :) my only concern would be City Square this is the first big test of a large following mixing around the ground.

To clear this up, here's the facts:

There will be 2600 poles in the south stand as per normal away fans allocation, these are members of the official poznan supporters club and are home (ie poland) based poles. They will have their own stewards to supplement the MCFC ones

City have made provision in the top tier of the east stand for the 3500 or so uk based poles - who have bought their tickets from the city ticket office.

City square will not be open before or after the game

Many city centre pubs will be either shut all afternoon or heavily stewarded and policed

The centre of town and the stadium forecourt will have a very heavy police presence

There will be over 300 police on duty at the game plus a sizeable group of BTP who will be escorting groups of uk based poles from around the uk to manchester

Expect traffic delays on ashton new road before and after due to sizeable polish escort heading to the ground from picc gardens etc

The vast majority of the poles are great footballing fans and like us they love a good drink and a cracking footie atmosphere

Eastlands will be buzzing
