Political relations between UK-EU

And...........

Is 2021 going to be a year of mentioning utterly obvious matters - matters that should to be a surprise to people
I get it now.

All these negative impacts of Brexit were utterly obvious all along and shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. And we voted for it on that basis. That's a marked change from calling them Project Fear.

Anywho...back to fishing

We’ve been telling the same story for more than two years, well before Kirkella was christened at Greenwich in 2019. But there is little sign the UK government has listened. Without individual bilateral deals on quotas with Greenland, the Faroes and especially Norway, there is no long-term viable distant-waters fishing industry in the UK from January 1’

And?

I see there seems to be a need for some to post either 'Captain Obvious' statements or scrape the barrel of things that can seem to be (in any way) vaguely a consequence of Brexit - even if they are not

I think that this can be welcomed as it shows that there is nothing of any real substance to evidence bad outcomes as a result of leaving the EU.

Because we can be sure that there is a daily trawl through the media outlets to find anything that can be used going on.

Lol!
Scots stopping Irish fishing boats, irony indeed.

I see the doom scenarios endlessly forecast for when 'We're really out'
are being postponed again, still, it's early days.

Actually, they were live streamed from the House Committee on NI this morning.

Yes - we all need to be very cautious

Whilst none of the 100s (1000s ?) of posts predicting the immediate apocalypse may have carried the caveat that..... "....in the fulness of time, or eventually, or at some future point - etc......"

We should indeed be very cautious and keep all our fingers crossed - the apocalypse is likely just biding its time.

Priceless.
