Political relations between UK-EU

Is anyone keeping a count of the number of British pigs that have been slaughtered and sent straight to the rendering factory or incinerator while we’re supporting German farming?
The government has belatedly responded with freezer storage capacity so pigs can be slaughtered with minimal butchering and stored until the butcher (and vet) shortage can be addressed. So culling without going into the food chain may be reduced, but too late for 6,000 pigs.

I learn that Asda and Tesco are most likely to sell imported pork. Other supermarkets have a better commitment to British farming - including the German-owned Lidl and Aldi!

Asda does great German pork. Can recommend their German pork joint which is available in the ‘three for £10‘ offer.

As an angler I've watched this develop. Brexit has caused the Vote Leave government to relax the environmental standards because the sewage companies cannot buy the treatment chemicals. For the last 20-30 years Britain's rivers have become cleaner and healthier year on year and nature has reclaimed them, including otters at the apex, due to increased punishments for polution.

That's all gone now, another sacred cow sacrificed bloodily for the lunacy of the brexiteers.
