Yep 51% of the voting electorate in 2016 voted to leave and we left on 31 Jan 2020. How many of them do you think are happy with the subsequent implementation of the WA and the trade deal? I don’t remember being asked if we wanted importing and exporting to be much more difficult and expensive, whether we wanted to give up our freedom of movement around 27 countries, whether we wanted to split the U.K. into two separate jurisdictions and whether we wanted to spend billions replicating functions that were previously shared with 27 other countries.
We could have left the EU and done our best to minimise the damage but we decided to go all out for 100% separation (apart from NI of course) with its consequent costs and damage to the economy. Instead we’re opening up our market to random countries on the other side of the world with next to no benefit to us.
You're posting like a greater ability to sell cheese to a nation that is 70% lactose intolerant is not a good thing...
