Political relations between UK-EU

Have it, well a fraction anyway. Just goes to prove how the government works, sorting their own who probably have enough while taking from those who probably need it most.

yeah but they also threatened their own with reduced govt funding if they didn't support him yesterday......... only to abandon him and them this lunchtime......

Yep. And now we’ll see the fall out as MPs who were whipped have to ask themselves very serious questions.

So, a billion spent in direct costs, god knows how many billions in indirect costs, just to make sure trade declines by 15%. Oh, and we are still nowhere near implementing a full customs border regime. Well done, chaps. Bravo.

The U.K. has spent more than 1 billion pounds on its post-Brexit border measures, as trade with the EU fell 15% in second quarter vs Q2 2018.’ @Bloomberg

Talking of our border, the National Audit Office just published a report on the state of the UK border with the EU following Jan 2021. Seems we will need a few more billions if we want to keep trade down.

"The current operating model for the EU–GB border is not sustainable, and more work is needed to put in place a stable model that eliminates any risk of WTO challenge, does not require any temporary supports, and has clarity and ease of use."

Can I tell my bank I want my mortgage written off because I don't like what I signed up to?

Really? Best put Leadsom in the job she's a WTO expert isn't she?

Pass the popcorn! Apparently we are now threatening to sue the French. For what I'm not entirely sure. Being French probably.

Small Claims Court would be best. Or Judge Judy.
Maybe because they were making their on rules up? Just a thought for you anti British posters
