Poll? Yaya - cash in or keep?

Whilst I agree with the general consensus that it's very hasty to say get rid. Personally, think it will blow over. The same story has come out every summer along with the Barcelona thing. Agent tries to use Barca as a threat. Barca aren't interested in having him.

Fact is, his deal takes him to 34. By which time he will have probably lost his power. We have no need to give him a new contract, therefore, should just sit tight and let him see it out.

On the other hand, the idea that he is irreplaceable is false. He isn't directly replaceable, given there is no other player like him. But a change in approach (not 4-4-2) would make him replaceable.

This is absurd to even think that, let the dust settle and then we could possibly even cotemplate it,and don't just forget that he just won us the league and if we as fans like players to be loyal, they expect the same backing aswell and not just abrupt conclusions

He DIDN'T win us the league. The TEAM WON THE LEAGUE, as I have said in quite a few posts over this season, no one man wins matches in football, it is a TEAM game.

As for loyalty, where is his loyalty when saying that the club or even the fans did not wish him a Happy Birthday?? That is pathetic from a 31 yr old man.

Get rid, no player is bigger than my beloved Manchester City Football Club!!

This is something that needs to be thought out by the club, and the club has until the end of Ivory Coast's participation in the WC. So the way I see it is that the club has until then to look for another suitable player to take his place. This player who ever he may be will be hopefully a lot younger and also will be on a smaller wage than Yaya. If he wants to go then let him go, however he will not be allowed to leave until a suitable replacement has been signed 1st, and the club that wants Yaya agrees to out transfer fee, which should be a minimum of £40m.

He has been reported to have said that he wants to go back to Barcalona, just can't see Barca signing him especially if he is 31yrs old now. Some how I think this is just his agent trying to stir things up again for a wage rise for him. The club should just call his bluff and say that if you want a transfer then put it in writing and at least that way the club won't have to give him a cut of the transfer fee.

Yaya and his agent have tried this before and look what happened. He ended up staying,
I think this will blow over but he shouldn't get another new contract. City hold the aces here. KEEP.

what he and his agent have done is frankly insulting, if we can get decent cash to get a replacement then yes, if not we keep.

Though I have noticed Bluemoon isn't doing its part to keep Yaya, I can't see pictures of him anywhere. tut tut tut.

Cash in.

It shouldn't be acceptable for our players to do what Yaya did yesterday.

I hate to use this as a comparison, but imagine Yaya did that under Sir Alex Ferguson. He would be gone in double quick time.

Yaya isn't bigger than the club. Sell him, bring in another top midfielder (one who doesn't forget to defend) and move on.

Fabregas, Pogba and Barkley should be top of our list.

Let's be realistic here.

He is not getting any younger.

He is not going to get better.

Next season we have another ACN to suffer.

He will never match his goal scoring record of this year and that is based on the fact of everything he hit went in and he had so many chances. In short the stars were aligned!

We will never be able to sell him for more!

We will never again be able to clear £220,000 a week of our wage bill so easily.

He is not homegrown, overgrown yes but homegrown No!

If we were to sell for £40m and save the remaining £33m off our wages for 3 years we are £73m better off without any loyalty bonuses to pay.

That extra money and wage leeway can clinch the likes if Barkley on a deal Everton cannot refuse.

For me it's a no brainer. If he wants out and Barca want him, then sell. But more importantly sell quick as the Ivory Coast team are not great and there is a fair chance he will look useless in Brazil and devalue himself.

Most importantly though, he needs to be fucked off before any new shirt comes out and any young child is duped into having his name on it!

Thanks for the memories Yaya, but in the words of a genuine blue ' Your work here is done', now tatty Yaya off and do one you arrogant lazy spoilt prick.

Other than the word "lazy" I agree with all of that post. Well said.

Definitely time to cash in IF there's a buyer and we can bring in circa 40 million pounds. Like you say pays for Barkley or pays for Fabregas or pays for Vidal ...

I would never call one of the best players ever to put on a City shirt a " lazy and arrogant prick" but like Billy and a fair few others have said their is a lot of strong reasoning in that post. I personally felt that by next season certainly one of our incredible collection of players that form the "spine" of our side; Hart - Zabaleta - Kompany - Silva - Yaya - Kun would have had to be shifted on just so opposing teams didn't get too familiar with us and work us out.

Also you can never blame anybody for wanting to go home especially to a beautiful place where you can get a bit of sun on your back. If he goes, he should go with the love and best wishes of all because I am certain this isn't about money.
