Wonder where Zinchenko is playing? left side of midfield? - doesnt he play play number 8 for his international team (ie a more attacking midfielder)?

I expect Stones and THB at CB, plus Cancelo and Angelino at FB.

Doyle, Silva, Zinch, Foden, Bernie/Raz behind Kun.

Gundy instead of Doyle, the rest is as predicted.

Excellent use of rotation this, hopefully Tommy will get some game time.

I imagine the Port Vale lads will be relishing playing against David Silva and Aguero.

I like it. Looks like the same formation as Everton to me. Gets some minutes into the formation change even if it means players playing in a position they might not deem ideal. Zinchenko as left sided centre back alongside THB and stones. Angelino and cancelo wing backs, gundogan and silva sitting in midfield with Foden and the other silva in front of them off Aguero.

I’m most happy about Garcia not playing as it indicates he’s established himself above everybody but Fernandinho in the pecking order right now. Could probably have had another kid or two on the bench more so for rotation and saving legs than anything but no real complaints. Should smash them.

Thats a strong team and a young one. Harewood Bellis and Phil starting, Garcia and Doyle on the bench. 4 Academy boys. We have been crying out for it for years and it seems to have finally arrived. Lots of flexibility to shape shift in that team. Port Vale will be chasing shadows.
