Thank fuck for that double substitution.

Don't know what their manager was moaning about, the ref did everything but reveal his Porto kit.

Lots of issues with that performance but you do whatever to take the win and qualify as early as possible and we did that against what should be our toughest opponents. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I said at the time it seemed pointless bringing Fernandinho on for 10 minutes with the game won, could easily have been Doyle stones or zinchenko who are more in need of the minutes and he could have used all the subs, when we’re playing every single midweek for the rest of the year even a 10 minute rest can be beneficial.

Walker was outstanding, rest of the back 4 just about get a passing mark, Rodri was crap, Gundogan and Bernardo were both very good, sterling and mahrez largely anonymous until the game was won and Aguero got zero service. Lively cameo from Torres and Foden.

If that was in a knockout game against good opponents we would have lost that game in the first half so plenty of improvement needed but you take the points and hope there’s a drastic upturn in performances soon enough.

Really good comeback , probably a bit fortunate to get the free kick for Gundogans goal , but we did, and he scored a beauty ..... we played much better after the break , still sloppy with our passing at times though, quality third goal from Torres to round thngs off ..... five City players booked though , and now we've lost Fernandinho for a few weeks.

Not the least bit fortunate to get the Gundo free kick, their guy went through the back of the man and you cannot do that these days.

Has been a weird start to this season.

We have managed to look really good, really shit, and shockingly average in every single game we have played.

Tonight for 60+ minutes it didn't get any more depressing than that.

Then Pep made those changes, and we looked like a polar different side.

I think it is going to be a different sort of season than we have been used to lately.I am sure of that.Right now i have no idea whether we are potential title winners,or not.I dont think any team is going to romp to the title this year.

I see it being a really tight title race this season, with possibly 6,7 sides involved.

Special mention to Kyle Walker, what a start to the season.

Poor 1st half but we stepped it up in the 2nd and dug out another important win. Outstanding from Walker this evening, superb free kick from Gundogan and a great finish from Torres.
What a horrible team Porto are, pathetic play acting and cheating. How did we end up with so many bookings?
Good to see Pepe is still an absolute turd of a man.
Good to see Pep telling their twat manager where to go as well
City did well to keep their cool tonight against a bunch of twats like Porto.
Cancelo was pretty poor all night, lots giving Rodri stick as well but he works away in midfield.
Important win.

Looking at how bad the English refs are, it’s staggering how much worse the European refs are. They are absolutely fucking diabolical!

Good in the second half

Walker and Sterling were excellent

I don’t really rate Rodri, have never rated gundog

Torres is an exciting talent, what a bargain we got him for!

Result was okay, performance not so much. Some really brainless play, gifting an opponent chances when they didn’t desire to create any for themselves. Some really awful defending. This was probably as poor as we’ve been all season. I understand that we’re missing some key players, but I still expect much better. We’ll lose to West Ham playing like this.

Frustrating game, made even more so by the way that Porto tried repeatedly to gain an unfair advantage. They made repeated attempts to deceive the officials. They wanted to make the game as uncomfortable as possible for us, and they had some success. Particularly with us continuing to play into their traps.

Loved watching Kyle tonight. Hats off to Raz, Ferran, Bernardo, Riyad too, and Gundo & Sergio for their great strikes.

Yeah but the pattern of the game was because he (and others)kept passing backwards, sideways or giving it away.

Which is Pep's fault. The formation was poor, the movement upfront was lacking and as a result we didn't have good forward passing options.

If the pattern of the game is bad, it's Pep's fault, not 5 or 6 players having a bad day.
