Spot on, I don’t understand why people hate him so much. He did OK tonight and I’d rather have Garcia as 4th choice than Stones any day of the fucking week. People don’t realize how good he is.

Stones on the other hand is a lost cause. He won’t get another chance with Pep.

I don't hate him. I just think he's a shit defender. Stones is a better option in defence.
 
Difficult game. We just had to keep pluging away in the first half. The ref was dreadful and conned by the Porto players. Walker was our best player again. We have a great young player in Torres. He is quick and strong. The two goals he has scored so far have been clinical. Looking forward to seeing more of him. 3 points is all that matters today. Well done lads.

Absolutely mate. In addition, he loses the ball in the challenge and his passing under pressure is not good enough for such an pivotal role in our engine room.

I can see what you mean about the game tonight, but I do think you have to partner Rodri with the right players.

As I've already said, you can't play Rodri and Gundo/Fern in midfield. They are too slow and just aren't dyanmic. They are all too cautious and slow our game down too much for me.

If you play Rodri - who I think is superb at mopping up the ball and is always available for a pass - then you have to play KdB, Bernardo or Foden with him. This is the only way to get around his total lack of pace.

This is why I wanted us to sign someone in summer with legs, aggression and drive - we need someone to compliment Rodri/Gundo.

I’m not a fan either. He’s not particularly good at anything. His passing never breaks the lines, he’s often caught wrong side, he’s slow on the ball and without it...

The worst part is the idea we need to get new players around him. It’s like the Rags with ‘Release Pogba’. Rodri shouldn’t be a player we need to find the right balance with, he should be doing it for other players who are much better than him.

I think he could make it here as a converted CB but unless there’s dramatic improvement he’s a big problem in our midfield in 90% of our games.
