UEFA has launched a disciplinary case against FC Porto for the improper conduct of supporters during their UEFA Europa League match against Manchester City FC.

Following a complaint lodged by Manchester City FC, UEFA has today opened disciplinary proceedings against FC Porto for the improper conduct of supporters (Article 11 bis of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations) during their UEFA Europa League round of 32 first-leg match against Manchester City FC last week.

The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will deal with the case on 29 March.

The Porto-Manchester City game, played in Portugal on 16 February, finished in a 2-1 victory for the away team

Exactly. No mention of them being charged just "...an investigation..." following a complaint.

These bastards are bang to rights and once again Napoleon and his merry band of fuckwits will brush it aside as having done the right thing before continuing their pursuit of wealthy owners - particularly ones who are richer than pretty much anyone, and worse still, Muslim.

IMO what should happen is the club should have their coefficient scores reduced to zero rather than a fine. In other words they go back to being in pot 4 if they qualify for CL.

No mention of racial abuse at all. Despite the seriousness of racism they will be treated the same as City will have been for chucking those pieces of paper on the pitch against Villarreal. Joke.

It wasn't just a handful of idiots was it though?

UEFA are continually in denial over this kind of thing and a smack on the wrist coupled with a small fine just doesn't cut it.
