Different tactics tonite.Looked like Mancini sent them out in the first half to contain instead of usual 7 or 8 players up field. Sometimes Balo on his own with no support, which he did well. Then second half he let them off the leash and I think we battered them, especially given the constraints of that awful fukin ref.

His decision making is questionable, needs to release the ball quickly, pass more through balls, and try to get in more advanced areas to support the attack.
But
Some of his play was outstanding as well.

Thought he ha a decent game, didnt go missing and laid on a great ball for Mario in the first half.
One quibble in the second half though we had a counter attack on the right and for some reason he slowed the play down which let the Porto defence/midfield regroup.

In all honesty we are still some way away from being a top team - technically we do not keep the ball well and a Barry / DJ combo is not adept enough at playing keep ball

I thought Balo and Yaya were brilliant tonight as was Kompany. A great win!!!
However that referee was a joke! The amount of 'fouls' he blew for was nothing short of frustrating and the bookings out players got was a joke. Especially when you consider what their centre back(I think he was called Maicon) got away with was a disgrace!

Love the way Nasri runs with the ball like its glued to his foot, played well IMO.
Barry's had a great season but he does worry with his daft fouls; he needs better judgement about when to make contact and when to stand off.
