portsmouth game could be off

Weather forecasts are rubbish. It takes just a minor breeze to knock the temperature down a few notches, and the working temperatures of those sheets doesn't take into account the different micro-climates of each individual pitch. For example, Fratton Park has, most likely, some drafty bits, where a small 2mph wind might blow colder air onto the pitch.

If the game does get called off, I think Portsmouth should be docked points at most, at the last fined.

I'm just considering whether to call the games on my pitches off tomorrow! It's a tough call!

If we buy their club do you think we could heat their pitch?

I hadn't really thought of it but now you mention it I would say it is a good point.

Feel a tad bit sorry for them, they were loaded and now the owner has pulled the plug and has everything is up for sale including John Westwood!
I really can see them going down to never return, after the best season they ever had.
Football is a funny game, too much money involved if you ask me.

I just hope we can get three points today.
