I'd have loved him at City just to stick him on the bench and watch the fake tears of the Rags and pundits.You can see the fake smiles when Portugal scored look at his face at the final whistle, not happy, biggest wanker in football and it shocked me how many city fans wanted him to come here, detestable man absolutely the slimmest footballer of all time

Sorry if already mentioned but I could not believe it when the TV commentator queried why the two team's possession stats didn't add up to 100%. Surely in every televised game they show three % figures, one for each team and one for contested possession when neither team dominates. Was the commentator being serious and why didn't the co-commentator correct him?

In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't get him, obviously!
Let's face it, he wasn't awful in his first season back at the rags. Indeed, his goals probably kept them out of a relegation battle.
His decline this season has a lot more to do with his bruised ego than his ability. Messi would probably have had the same problem if he'd come to the PL. No one player can be bigger than the club.

I always felt his presence was hindering Portugal. But oh my, I didn't realize the scale of it. They were so pleasing on the eye and efficient. His ego would have exploded.Haha Ronaldo has stropped off the pitch straight away while the rest of the team are saluting the crowd.
