Just to check, are you saying you still want a public broadcaster, just not the BBC in its current guise? As that’s a different argument to scrapping it altogether.
I’d absolutely want to see changes to where they cut their funding and some of the things they still fund, I’m arguing them as being important from a public broadcast perspective, not how it’s currently run.
What I am saying is that for 5.5 billion a year we could get a lot more, I'd fuck politics off it completely and just do programming, why because politics in this country is as divisive as fuck.
They are not cutting edge any more nobody cares, granted they make SOME excellent programs but for that amount of money they should be making a hell of a lot more.
