Positive changes to ticket exchange

Have I asked you to give up your season card lol. The Club has made available a Ticket Exchange to benefit season card holders. You are not happy with it but I'm sure a lot of other Blues make good use out of the Exchange.

Six games for re-selling tickets will be a more than workable limit for the vast majority of Blues. Most people needing to miss more games would be able to pass on the ticket to
friends and family. You couldn't for very good reasons but why do you expect the rules affecting 40 odd thousand Blues to be designed around you?

Read my first post in this thread and tell me where i expect it to be designed around me???!!!!

I said i used it 10 times last season, this time hope to not have to use it even the 6 times, said it was a shame they changed it as it's hard to guess how things will be next year, but that i'll get used to the idea!

ok? so calm down! I was answering in my recent posts to the ticket mob who like to act like anyone who misses any games doesn't deserve a ticket. I get the feeling you only read my most recent post in this thread.

Night night :)

Season tickets should be for people who are going to attend for a season if you cant attend the majority of games jack it in and let someone who can attend go .then you just buy the tickets you need .problem solved no empty seat

If you had bothered to digest my post you will have noticed that the situation is likely to be of a temporary nature. Having built up a bucket full of points going home and away since a very early age and having the obvious benefit of sitting next to his father and friends when he can make a game, he is hardly likely to want to throw that away to accommodate a JCL (no matter how deserving that JCL might be ).

Season tickets are for people to guarantee themselves a specific seat and if that seat can be filled every game irrespective of the occupant then everyone is a winner. Unfortunately this new ill thought out 6 game ruling does not accommodate that situation. Result.......empty seat.

You could only sell 6 tickets last season so whats new?

Is that right, I wasn't aware of that, I only sold it on three times so it wasn't an issue. The email from the club gave the impression that it was a rule starting this season.

What bothers me more is not the 6 game ruling. As I previously said, the seat was occupied for almost every game as I took friends/family and I would have continued to do so this season were it not for the new rule that you have to pre warn the club with full name and address details of the attendee. Too much faffing about.

Bit gutted by this tbh, let me explain - i never missed a home match in over 20 years (apart from occasional illness), until last season where because i had just given birth and things were difficult i ended up missing half the season, luckily i could sell them and get the money off this years otherwise i wouldn't have been able to afford it (and no, no family to give the ticket to). Now this season, i'm hoping to only miss night matches and things that clash with his bday and things! So it should be less than 6... but, if problems kick in it was a relief to know i can still sell more than that if needed. I know you guys are happy as you think a billion people buy season tickets just for the big games (buy hey i went to burnley and missed liverpool last season!), but not everyone who used the exchange was like that. I wish it was maybe half, 9 or so, that would be allowed.
But whatever.. I'll get over it ;)

For me personally I'd be surprised if I could get rid of six tickets a season using the exchange, the couple of times Iv tried if been left with them. Find it better to use the face book one or pass them in to friends , usukey start off at the going rate then work me way down to "please someone take theses tickets for free" so the twunt from the muen don't circle me seat in red ink ... I did prefer the ticket master as I knew they was mostly going to day trippers so didn't mined selling them for the going rate they was prepared to buy them at, if I couldn't get rid of a bobbins game I could always make up the difference on a top 6 game I couldn't get too

So what's the alternative? People buying season cards with the intention of going to a minority of games. Would we rename season cards "pick and choose cards'?

Ffs Don't listen to the bollox from some on here, keep your ticket, attend as many games as you like sell as many as you like ( you would be better getting rid in the Fb thing though or somewhere else other then the ticket exchange, at lest you'd be gettin a fsir price ) hey even leave early if you want too..
proper joke people telling others what they can and can't do..

What's a fsir price. Since the ticket exchange allows you to get back the price you paid (as a proportion of the cost of the season ticket) you seem to be advocating touting.

People will do what suits their circumstances and that's OK. You have failed in trying to take the moral high ground

A fair price would be the going rate for what people want to pay,be that touting or not..

I'm not looking for the moral high ground here, I'm just wondering who died and made you god ? And what gives you any right at all to be telling people they should give up there season tickets

I haven't asked anybody to give up their Season card blingy. if somebody has very good reasons why they would need to sell their seat for more than for six games (health problems and pregnancy were mentioned earlier in the thread) they could ring up the Club and ask for help / more flexibility.

You might think touting is OK but a lot of Blues despise touting to fellow fans

Blues telling long standing Season Ticket holder blues to give up tickets hahaha.

Yes it can be difficult to get to them all but other than being financially out of money, I would much rather give the tickets to another blue any way I can and often go above and beyond in doing so (posting tickets, meeting in weird places etc) In terms of touting, lets look at the numbers, city will give me around 40 of credit next season per ticket per game. I usually pass my ticket on for 50 which is often much lower than the 60/70 you would pay on the door. Plus that other blue is getting the benefit of a guaranteed ticket months or weeks before the game which allows them to make savings on flights and accommodation along with peace of mind.

As far as limits, it was unlimited last year but I didn't realize this myself until quite late on and it was max.6 during 15/16 and not sure before that? Was it a 3rd party then?

Do "city" buy tickets to sell on or is the exchange exclusively for cityzens. Like for example if joe blogs turns up on match day and general sale is sold out. Can the box office buy your seats to pass on? Or im I right in thinking that all exchange sales are suspended 4 hours before kick off.

No last seaon was unlimited, not sure bout the season before, but the one before that was 6 yes. I hadn't used it ever prior to last season.[/QUOTE]

Wow I did not realise that.
Over the last two seasons I have been seriously ill so only been able to go to a handful of matches.
Luckily I sold some back to the club but mostly managed to farm them out to friends and friends of friends so I wasn't out of pocket.
Hopefully this year I will be going to most matches but if I have give the club details of who is going instead on the odd occasion that is going to be a right ball ache.
