Positive changes to ticket exchange

I haven't asked anybody to give up their Season card blingy. if somebody has very good reasons why they would need to sell their seat for more than for six games (health problems and pregnancy were mentioned earlier in the thread) they could ring up the Club and ask for help / more flexibility.

You might think touting is OK but a lot of Blues despise touting to fellow fans

Sorry Tim, that wasn't ment for you, it was my reaction to the other fella saying that the op should give up the st..I didn't have my specs on when I repled

I have mixed feelings about touting and I wouldn't sell a ticket over the price of what the club are selling them for to a genuine blue, but it wouldn't bother me one jot to make a buck on a day tripped tourist though.

I work away through the year week on week off so I do miss 5/6 games if it falls wrong for me,
I usukey try to give mine away to friends or family for free, then use the Fb site and here when no takers at the cost the club are selling them at, then if still no takers a day or 2 b4 the game I'll offer them for free to anybody
There are many many times Iv given them away and many many time they have been empty as no takers. I guess I'm a toute as soon as I sell my ticket be it under or over what I paid, but I can sleep at night knowing Iv never been in profit from the tickets Iv tried to shift over a season.
me and my lad sit with a friend and his lad and have been sat together for over 25 years, so I hope you can understand why I thought the post about giving up a st sat with friends and family if you can't attend a few games to be totally ridiculous.
Sorry again for the confusion

A few changes to the ticket exchange for 18/19 season.

https://www.mancity.com/news/ticket...and-travel/2018/june/man-city-ticket-exchange

- Can still exchange up to 6 games.
- Credit (1/19th) is refunded back into your account.

I know this is positive for some blues who maybe didnt take up their ST for the following season and could lose out on £250+ in credit.

Tbh, in my case, i usually hit the 6 credits and this makes a significant difference on my monthly payments for the following season.

This seems a positive development for people selling tickets and people buying them, who are more likely to find 2 tickets together on the Exchange. (The 2 together seems to be the biggest form of unfikled demand on City ticket sites / Facebook etc).

T
I agree with you about match day prices being excessive for
Many parts of the ground.

I think the Club could have a promotion where to increase use of the Ticket Exchange sellers were guaranteed their money back (for a certain number of games). I'm not sure then Club would go for underwriting the full six games?

Once there were enough buyers and sellers (and face value was more affordable) the Exchange should work very well.
The exchange does work well. Your ticket is put up for general sale a week before the match and if demand is there it sells quickly. I’m not in favour of the 6 limit. For those of us that live 100’s of miles away, there are always games we can’t make, hospital, weather, midweek games. It is far more difficult for us to give tickets to friends and family so it results in empty seats when you breach the 6.

It's a year since I said that trying to remember my thinking, must have had a reason, but not sure what it was.
You're either a season ticket holder or you're not. In my opinion you're committing to go to all the games by buying a season ticket but the club have identified that there needs to be some flexibility for illness, holidays, late game changes etc. One third of the games seems fair to me.

Yes , think I was probably thinking not making up to 6 games fair enough. Anything over that seems a bit like it's planned. That said people can get a long illness, and as @Saddleworth2 said if some one can't make a 7th game better the seat is filled.

Perhaps the option to put it up for sale but the money goes to a nominated charity from a selection, after the 6th game. At least the seat is filled and some good is done.

My point was not a selfish one. I choose to be a season ticket holder knowing I can't get to every game. The only way I can ensure our seats are filled when we can't go is ticket exchange. I don't have friends and family near me I can give my season tickets to and even if I did the 450 round trip is a consideration for them. I just want my seat to be used by a fan wether I miss 6, 7 or 8 games. Even if they left the limit at 6 but you could still put your ticket on ticket exchange after that without getting any credit if it sold would be better.
