Possible MCFC rugby team?

Rugby League= a mans sport in which a high level of fitness and skill is required to play at the top level!
Rugby Union= Loads of men wrestling after every soft tackle, 80% kicking, poor fitness, slow and generally a shite game.

Rugby is bloody brilliant, this would be fantastic news. As long as it's Union - the gentleman's sport, not that dreadful League nonsense!

Hi, the Rugby Team playing out of Manchester Regional Arena is Manchester Rangers RLFC www.manchesterrangers.co.uk. There’s no involvement in the running of the club by Manchester City FC, other than they occasionally share our posts and tweets and we have a good relationship with some of the staff there. However, we are close in terms of our location and who knows what the future holds. We are a League team (apologies to the union guys). We have to start off at the bottom of the leagues as we have this year, as does every team starting out new in the competitive league structure. Our ambition is to turn professional and we have a very strong board of directors guiding the club, but this decision is entirely down to the powers that be i.e. the RFL. It’s a great spectator sport and we'd be delighted to see you there at our next home game versus Chester Gladiators on Friday 7th August. Its £2 for adults & £1 for Children. Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/MCRRangerRL or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/rangersrl Cheers, Phil.

Rugby League = no one cares
Rugby Union = there's a World Cup coming up.

Dissapointing how many City fans seem to prefer southern rugby over northern rugby, I'd have thought it would be the other way around. Personally I can't stand Union and find League barely watchable, but it's still noticeably better than union (which seems to just be fuck all happening while they sit on each other, followed by the referee blowing the whistle for some minor infringement, someone kicking it through the posts, then repeat for 80 minutes). To each their own I suppose, union has a lot more money in it and gets a lot more press, but it's not my cup of tea at all. I'd rather see tries than men sitting on each others faces

clearly this is a barm/muffin debate - FWIW I think Union is a much better spectator sport - League bores the pants off me, stopping every 5 seconds to tap the ball behind the legs to a team mate

I went along to the first game what Manchester Rangers played at the athletics stadium.
Here we sat next to people I've recognised over the ADUG years at fan surveys, PR operations guys and so on.
The Manc Rangers were RL though, not RU.

But ADUG if you are reading - please, please, please form a new ice hockey team in Manchester... I'd get a season ticket straight away for Ice Hockey :)

LMAO. Completely agree, Union is so up it's own arse it's untrue.

Hope it's Union. I can see the abuse I'll get from all the Munster fans when it's European night and we smash um.
