Possible Player Problems?

Yep. Just shows their passion if true.
The owners wouldn't listen to 'customers' even if we could get their ear, so maybe they would take heed of employees pointing out they treated MH like shit.

I keep hearing variations on this theme, but, if they decided to replace him, how exactly should they have gone about it? this is the swiftest sacking I can ever remember. perhaps they should have drawn it out a bit longer, kept him hanging on? or given him their backing now and sacked him on the 31st december. maybe they were out of order for having someone lined up, although I'd have called that common sense?

you have to remember, they gave him an unbelievable professional opportunity and backed it up with hundreds of millions of pounds of their own money. if they felt it wasn't working out, what exactly did they owe him?

personally, I thought today was sad, but it had a strange dignity. hughes went out with a win and a wave, instead of driving up to the stadium and finding his key didn't fit and all his stuff dumped outside, or being told by the guy interviewing him, which is more or less how it usually works.

Oh fook off with this shyte!

I remember when Dunne led the apparent 'party' over the treatment of Svennis. I also seem to remember that a lot of 'fans' at the time said that the players should get on with the job or leave, if they didn't like it.

I think the exact same should be said here!

So if something happens that you don't agree with, you should keep quiet because you're being paid?

No, but if it then goes on to affect your performance then get out...

Which of course it has done, what with us playing a shed load of games since Hughes was sacked 5 hours ago...

Eh? I wasn't the one who started a thread called Possible Player Problems...if they have a problem and it affects them they can leave...

Let's see how many transfer requests we get next week

None most likely, because they're not stupid. But IMO (still allowed an opinion, aren't I?) they're allowed a little whinge that these most noble and righteous of owners have treated someone so badly.

That is of course, on the proviso that this story is even true...which I doubt.

That's what I've been thinking, with all these claims of undignified exit. The owners moved swiftly and did not leave the club into hanging. They made a decision and they acted on it in a very professional way.

Now, the players have the right to have a say though, but I do hope it is in the context of 'this should not become general club policy' in terms of management rotation. And with that, I agree as well.

Timing of the thing? Could've been better. But I think that's just how it worked out. They needed a replacement in place before the sacking...and they wanted the new manager to have some time planning for January.

Manner? Spot on.

Right.

So it wasn't 'noble and righteous' to allow someone, not of their own choice, to have a crack at Fantasy Football and buy whomever he wished? Not 'noble and righteous' to give the man chance after chance to prove he knew what he was doing on the pitch...?

They honoured him AND themselves(and the whinging media) the chance more than any other manager in history.

He fooked up.

Stick a fork in him, he's done.

Next!

sorry posted this in bellers thread but would be better off here.

that is an absolute fabrication in NOTW, my friend has confirmed no one kicked off after the match. the only problem was toure he wasnt impressed as he had to break the news to the squad.

she also clearly stated that mancini was there at coms today as she served him. she works in hospitality and has no reason to lie.

just stating what i was told.

Honestly I think Bellamy will have the biggest problem but I think Mark has chosen a team that like him will have dignity and continue to perform no matter the circumstances. Ireland loves city and he will continue to play his best, I think they all will, why would you throw away a season no matter what happens to a manager or player?
