Post Match: City vs United Friendly | ICC

Mourinho finished sixth and is building a kick and rush team that will yet again struggle to gain CL qualification.

Real Madrid are the best team in the world because all of their players can pass and receive a ball and understand when and when not to move, and not because they're six foot four.
Whatever you say.

Foden but Nasri did well. he's just class. a fit committed Nasri would save us a fortune.

How would he save us a fortune? We have enough midfielders and we are not looking for one now do we? Unless you'd have preferred him over Bernardo Silva. Than yes, he would've saved us a fortune. Furthermore keeping Nasri would block either Foden or Brahim getting on the bench and hopefully gaining minutes.
I just feel Nasri is on tour and playing to try and get other teams interested.
If he played well, good for him. But is is not the future. Far from it.

For me Brahim never looks as good out wide, he's much better in the middle.
Looked poor, especially in comparison to Foden. Obviously has a run and a jink in him, but zero link up play and seemed to be trying to make something happen to help his cause, but it ended up hurting it, IMHO.

I've always thought that a fit and committed Nasri would make an excellent pivot. But a bit too late now to resurrect his career at City.

If Ederson didn't Rush out, Lukaku simply has a one v one. Ederson did the right thing. He was aggressive. He simply didn't get to it.

It wasn't going out wide, Lukaku knocked it wide to get it away from Ederson. Komps and Adarabioyo were both trailing a few steps behind. The error was Kompany losing track of the ball in the air as Lukaku runs past him.

We lost the ball upfield Kompany still I g so deep kept Rashford onside. He had no reason to drop that deep. He doesn't do that and Rash is offside.

Blaming Dihno who had gone up to attack when we lost the ball upfield, presumed we don't have a plan for when fullbacks overlaps and we lose the ball on transition. We actually do. Failure to execute that plan correctly is what makes it Kompany's fault
Nah sorry it's not that simple that it would have been a one on one, if he stayed on his line as there's a lot of space from the edge of the box to the goal line if you hadn't noticed and our defence wasn't that far away(already had two defenders in the middle by the time he took that shot which was a short space of time). He wasn't in a good position to shoot first time either, if he scored that way, fine we live with that, instead he came to get a ball he had little chance of winning(unless he made the choice far earlier) and made the finish far more simple than it should have been, did you notice the angle he shot from? He only knocked it behind Ederson and it was already on the left side of the box(where Ederson was stood as this happened), it was going to be a shot on his weaker foot if he had a chance of beating him. So simply put it was either a shot at the keepers near post first time and under pressure or bringing it on his weaker foot allowing the defence even more time to close him down = wrong decision for the keeper to come out not Kompany's fault.

As for blaming a Kompany for the second, you have to see they deliberately planned to exploit our left hand side by switching Rashford to the right(yes they did before you even try and spin that haha) they planned for that and a defender more aware of what's going on behind him would have held his run forward a little longer as they'd have been more aware of the threat(we shouldn't be playing him at left back really but little options at the moment).

Probably be gone by the time you watch this but to highlight my point on the first goal: Look at the speed and angle of the pass, how far out he meets it, how high the ball is too... he would have to get the ball under control before shooting had the keeper been on the line and remember he is left footed.

As expected PEG went with his strongest side , not sure what Pep learned from that game but Foden looks a very good player and we should keep Nasri , he's worth more than the £10m we have been offered he's still a great option . Rag media machine will be in overdrive now , the MUEN live report was a disgrace taking the piss out of us at every opportunity Simon Lockhurst is a proper Rag twat.

Fuck 'em....let them get giddy again thinking that they are on the road to winning all before them.

Rags can have bragging rights as it is. Last time we lost to that lot before the season started we beat them 6-1 in their shitehole and went on to win the league. At least it saves me losing time reading reports on another busy day. Won't even bother watching highlights.
