Post Match Thread: City 2-0 Watford

If anyone can't make the away game at Watford, ( I think it's bang after new year) PM me, I'll take the tickets of your hands, there's a few blues down in the Harrow/ Watford area I know will want to go, including myself, I work in Watford ( for my sins) it really doesn't have much going for it other than the fucking Hairy Potty Museum!

The way they played wasn't football for me. Loads of stopping play by fouling by different players.

In fact I can't see them scoring many goals at all and while they may sneak a few 0-0 and get the odd win, I would be surprised if they aren't in the bottom 3 come the end of the season.

Yepy. Dirty Twats can't believe they werent get any bookings. And then as soon as a city player commits a foul its a card.

Oh Dear - Brenda and Maureen are crying in their beer tonight.................he he ......

Positive post starting on a negative, but stick with it.

Today reminded me of Stoke at home last season. Slow paced, struggled to break the opposition down. BUT we had that extra spark, extra effort and extra everything, two early second half goals and killed the game. We have that killer instinct this season that our rivals lack. And also conceded no real chances.

Win pretty when we can. Win ugly when we have to. Champions elect.

Well done manuel, good tactical move to bring off Navas and push Sterling to a more central role. It gave Silva and Sagna much more room.

well, it was hardly top drawer wonder football but can you blame watford for trying to shut the game down? we'd rip any team a new one who tried to play open stuff. anyway, great to see a tactical shift pay dividends and another parked bus despatched. ideal.

19 pages Very Poor!! I've managed to get home kip for an hour the couch, in the doghouse with the misses, beer taken off me at Liverpool central for daring to drink a couple of cans and laugh at the suicidal scousers. Second wind just in time for MOTD great time to be blue!!

Talk about brainwashed, even Watford fans commenting.

@MarkyWFC: @WatfordFC Brilliant as always. Couldn't hear City. But empty seats can't sing #watfordfc

Tempo is important. We need to keep the ball moving.

Fernandinho awesome. Thought Sagna, Mangala & Sterling all did well.

Win, clean sheet, no injuries or suspensions. A good day.

Can somebody please care to explain how the fuck did Merlin passed through 4 hornets before finding Sagna on the right for the Sterling goal?
Yes he was smoking and subdued the 4 hornets by blowing smoke at them. Brilliant reverse pass to Sagna/Fernandinho.(second goal).

For training next week, Navas should be sat in a room with a very large screen showing the OP's clip of the 1st goal on loop to understand how to cross a ball.

+ 1, and keep him close to Sagna and KDB to finally add the early cross to his game. That cross and that goal has been missing for a while.
