Post match thread - City v Chelsea

Well played today lads looks like sterling with all his pace and skull with kolorov is working really good down the left. Also sterling looks to be opening space for silva who is on top form at the mo. Yaya and fer was top notch today.. Bring on Everton 3 points please..

Magnificent City. On and off the field. We are truly blessed as City fans in this our greatest time.

Maureen...
Their goalkeeper was good and we couldn’t score. They were only coming up with long balls and even that we controlled. not one single problem in the second half, they had lots.”
So scoring two goals in the second half is "not one single problem" so he is technically right...it was two problems.

They had three shots on target the whole game, yet he is saying Hart kept us in it? They did have periods in the second half where they improved, but that is a long way from actually being better than us.

He is being found out for the bull shitter he is. Costa spent most of the match diving and moaning instead of scoring. I loved the "hold me back" moment as they went into the tunnel. He had plenty of chances to approach Dino well before the tunnel. Like Maureen, he is all show and no real substance...

Ps Loved the low key Pellars pump fist at the end...that is true class!

My first game live and I don't think I could've chosen a better one. My dad is a lifelong City supporter and as he retires next week, I thought it would be a nice present to give him a ticket to this game, the first for him as well. I've supported City all my life but I became a real hardcore fan listening to the City Gillingham game on a crappy real player stream back home in Sweden.

We were crying several times today because it felt so unreal being there with fellow Citizens and to see heroes like Vinnie and Kun score was just unbelievable.

What was sad was that we booked through an agency and got premium seats at 93:20. Around us were only a bunch of tourists that were more interested in taking selfies and film the game than actually supporting the team. When I sang Blue Moon (the proudest moment in my life), people stared at me as if I was mental. Not that I'd care anyway. When the person next to me said 'Our nr 25 is quite good, who is he?' I was about to freak out.

Thankfully, I was sitting quite close to south stand and that made me so proud. You got me laughing a lot when you sang 'sacked in the morning' to the medical team, hilarious!

All in all an absolutely wonderful experience and I thought the back four was great. Mangala seems like he will become world class and Sagna was impressive as well. I just hope that you keep up with the good atmosphere and that the stadium will keep it's core of real supporters. You will make Etihad a fortress!

Finally, my name is not a dig to Irishmen but a reference to 'noir' and film noir where everything's quite dark and depressing. That was how it felt for many years supporting City, but the future is blue, no doubt about it. Thank you City for everything!
