Post match thread - City v Chelsea

"We dominated after the interval and afterRamires’s goal was disallowed, Hazard drew a fine stop from Joe Hart. Two late City goals, from Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho, added some gloss to a final scoreline which did not accurately reflect the bigger picture."

What a load of fucking bollocks. Even the Chelsea fans on their forum think the same

The Chelsea fans on the shed end were making jokes about the next article on their OS being about the record grain harvest. :)

My first game live and I don't think I could've chosen a better one. My dad is a lifelong City supporter and as he retires next week, I thought it would be a nice present to give him a ticket to this game, the first for him as well. I've supported City all my life but I became a real hardcore fan listening to the City Gillingham game on a crappy real player stream back home in Sweden.

We were crying several times today because it felt so unreal being there with fellow Citizens and to see heroes like Vinnie and Kun score was just unbelievable.

What was sad was that we booked through an agency and got premium seats at 93:20. Around us were only a bunch of tourists that were more interested in taking selfies and film the game than actually supporting the team. When I sang Blue Moon (the proudest moment in my life), people stared at me as if I was mental. Not that I'd care anyway. When the person next to me said 'Our nr 25 is quite good, who is he?' I was about to freak out.

Thankfully, I was sitting quite close to south stand and that made me so proud. You got me laughing a lot when you sang 'sacked in the morning' to the medical team, hilarious!

All in all an absolutely wonderful experience and I thought the back four was great. Mangala seems like he will become world class and Sagna was impressive as well. I just hope that you keep up with the good atmosphere and that the stadium will keep it's core of real supporters. You will make Etihad a fortress!

Finally, my name is not a dig to Irishmen but a reference to 'noir' and film noir where everything's quite dark and depressing. That was how it felt for many years supporting City, but the future is blue, no doubt about it. Thank you City for everything!

I'm delighted that you and your dad had such a great day.

I hope you can make it back to the Etihad soon.

I'd read that match report earlier on.

Mourinho has a huge influence at that football club. People dare not step out of line. That includes whichever idiot written that report.

I used to think he was worth the entertainment, but for the first time I just want the twat out of the PL.

Go and destroy somebody else's league.

Just home now, with a sore throat from singing with the magnificent South Stand.
Proud. Just proud to be a City fan.
And a big thank you, again, to our owner; happy to seriously invest as opposed to syphoning off money to pay for other ventures, (or misadventures!)

(We need to replace our 'Manchester thanks you Sheikh Mansour' banner as it's looking tatty imho.)

Man for man - I couldn't be prouder! Challenged for every ball, Don't score from corners - WTF! There was only gonna be one winner today and they did it in style - by a country mile, Yes, it could have been six! I can't even be arsed looking at the transfer thread because what those guys did today was something very very special.

If that's the sort of passion and commitment that's been instilled into this team, we're in for a glorious season. Yep, only two games...but fuck me...

I thought he was off personally.

Love Reuben's celebration here - everyone else looking at play but Maureen gets the death-stare :-)

Their match reports are embarrassing, must be done by Mourinho himself or teenagers.

Also just arrived back from the game after a 4 hour drive to Scotland. Great performance by City and it was a great performance for what was both mine and the family's first City game, the wee man especially enjoyed it and his face was beaming as the left the stadium.

Good show by the City fans in the South Stand, plenty of noise and good to see. Can't wait to get back to another game this season hopefully.

Sit down Mourinho, Sit down Mourinho
