Theoretically if Sinn Fein took up seats to stop unionists tightening the grip on NI which looks possible here - what does that change if anything with who could be in govt?

How ironic. Torys warning against Labour/SNP and we end up with the Tory /DUP alliance instead. Whole of UK held to ransom by the fkn DUP!!!!!!

They will. The EU do not want a prolonged mess, they want something that both sides can live with.

I think the repeated allegations that the EU will look to screw the UK are soapbox posturing, divorced from reality.

No chance, she may not have got everything she wanted but she got the main thing. This election call by May has always been about getting 3 more years after Brexit. Her original explanation was always going to look cynical and manipulative but this real target would have been too cynical to have been open about. Whichever party is in charge will have a load of fallout to deal with after Brexit. The remains won't be happy anyway. There will be millions who don't like some aspects of the negotiated terms etc etc. Any election in 2020 would be too close to Brexit for the Tories to win, now they get an extra 3 years to ride out the storm. She got what she wanted.

I think May has a big problem and will not last a month. The Conservatives and DUP will be able to set up a government however. The party will not accept May leading it.
 
Clearly she didn't get the mandate she was looking for.
I hope she does as she promised but I'm guessing a self serving U-turn might be likelier.

 
Honestly, we're talking proper caveman stuff if the DUP are in government. The most backward people you can imagine.

Agreed 53% of imports into the UK are from the EU £300 billion. They will not want tariffs on all of that.
