I will probably get laughed at here but...

I think Clichy did well and it's good to see him back. Looked more defensively assured down that left and also he's calm when in possession and keeps the ball simple when it's an option.

We seem to have these moments in all of our recent seasons, including ones where we have been successful, where we go on run's of being amazing or shite. To win the champions league you can't do that, to win the premier league when the rest of the league are good you can't do that. Saving grace for the prem league is that the other teams haven't been very good but in the champs league we are going to get fucking spanked unless Pellegrini gets a way of playing that WORKS and sticks to it. Never mind setting a 433 if your players are tasked to play differently. I want to believe he will change, but i dont think he ever will.

Decent enough game, could have won that on another day.

The only people I see really pissed off are the people who think Juve are shit because they're from Italy and haven't watched them in 20 years. They didn't get to the CL Final for no reason; they're an absolutely quality team and man for man are just as good as us.

1-0 away isn't the worst result in the world.

Now there's your dose of measured sensibilities, feel free to go off on the traditional Bluemoon outrage. Fun fact, we actually have a spike of guests come on our forum any time we lose because you lot have a reputation in the wider football community of being laughably ridiculous when a result doesn't go our way.

I'm sure tonight will be the night that proves them all wrong though.

Juventus are no where near a top tier side now after losing pirlo/vidal/tevez, if we can't get a result against them, what chance have we got in the competition?

No good performance. Our strength is our attack, it's shocking how bad we do in the CL.

Same in the premier league just lately, no urgency, no desire, no fast attacks, get the ball in a dangerous position and just wait for the defenders to get back to cover it. kicking it round in our own half 25mins to the end when losing and then decide to start rushing 5 mins from the end.

Saturday is going to be a worry.
