An admin must've nuked your post count. There's no other way about it, other than they could've been lost in the recent crash. That's unlikely, because I didn't lose any

I lost a few hundred during the changover to the new board, I think a few people did as I seem to remember Blacksheep did a 10000 post not to long back.

Superb. I came here today to start a thread on this, but clearly no new thread is required.

As I understood it, the transition to the new updated board was upset by a corruption in the database, which i speculate was perhaps something longstanding, given how regurlarly there were connectivity/ server issues with the old forum. If you recall an intermediary bluemoon was active for 3 or 4 days while Ric grappled manfully with all those 1's and 0's. It was as a result of this that a whole host of people lost a load of their post count. Personally, I'm down by 1,050 posts, about 50%.

My question today was, do the mods/ admin have any means of reinstating them? I can live quite happily without them, and appreciate that attempting to 'correct' several thousand entries would be an arduous task, but no one wishes to appear more noob than they actually are ;)

To be honest, I don't think there is a way of correcting it, nor do I think it's really necessary.

Once the numbers get fairly significant (over 1000) it makes no difference. In my opinion of course.

When the database got corrupt, some posts were lost and people's post counts were affected. Unfortunately there's no way of correcting this, apologies for that but as people have said post counts don't really matter anyway.
