Post Something Interesting

i'll say one thing for my dear old mother,
she keeps a rather good wine cellar and has an extensive library.

hold on, that's two things.

edit: just looked it up...
apparently it's the original title of "and then there were none".
set on "n...... island" off the coast of devon.

Could be a Snoop Dogg number.

been at it in mother's library drinking her wine...

oh baudelaire.
the enemy/l'ennemi

ma jeunesse ne fut qu'un ténébreux orage,
traversé çà et là par de brillants soleils;
le tonnerre et la pluie ont fait un tel ravage,
qu'il reste en mon jardin bien peu de fruits vermeils.

my youth has been nothing but a tenebrous storm,
pierced now and then by brilliant sunshine;
thunder and rain have wrought so much havoc,
that very few ripe fruits remain in my garden.

it's just like mathematics.
the metaphor in poetry is akin to duality in maths.

numbers are omnipresent in poetry/la poesie.

the alexandrine has 12 syllables.
the sonnet has 14 lines.
and rhyme is none other than the unknown in an algebraic equation.
