Having threatened legal action on this forum twice in the past I can tell you that if someone mentions your own name and makes an attempt to deliberately sully your reputation then you may have the right to go down that avenue.

No, in the first instance the offending poster quickly issued a public apology, in the second I briefed my legal team who told me that as the poster had not mentioned my name specifically I would not be able to make a water tight case.
